Hi Nelly, thanks for responding. I ended up coming in today with my boyfriend -- I think you were the one that gave me the tour. It was great, by the way!.......
Thanks again for your help. You made me feel very comfortable today!
Cheers, Crystal, April 2010

I wanted to take the time to commend you on the great facilities you have at Real Club Training. I have been looking for a club to join over the past moth, and as part of my search, I recently took a quick tour of Real Club Training. I have to say that this is probably the first club I’ve seen where I was excited to be a part of (and not discouraged or overwhelmed). It really motivated me to get back into exercising and staying healthy. I’m sure you hear that a lot, but a reminder is always nice. Looking forward to being a part of the club.

I just wanted to say to you how much I truly enjoyed our Ride To Conquer Cancer Spin-a-thon on Saturday morning. The energy everybody had within themselves was "Awesome”. Spinning for me helps restore the body, mind & soul. There has been times where I would spin like a "Freak" and the person next to me would not be able to distinguish if the water pouring down my face was "sweat" or "tears". Pino, the amount of "Energy & Motivation" you give off to all of us while you are on the bike is Incredible. I hope your journey to Niagara Falls is safe & rewarding!
God Bless,

Dearest Pino and all the great Real Club Training Staff,
Just wanted to let you know that I love the gym- the customer service is excellent (I get along with all the girls at the front desk!) and I really am happy that I took the big step to join. Honestly, I knew about the gym (I had heard about it in a promo ad on z103 awhile back) and I just woke up one day and decided to join! I was very unhappy at the time- I had everything I ever wanted in life: I graduated with my Master's Degree and I had just gotten a full-time job. I guess the only barrier to my actually feeling happy was me. I had gone through an awful breakup the previous year and put on some weight and instead of doing anything about it, I just felt sorry for myself. I guess I felt like I was stuck in a rut and could not do anything about it and I honestly did let myself go. I hate focusing on numbers but let's just say the scale does not lie
After being a member for only 4 months, I have noticed changes not only in my body but in my outlook in life. Not to say I am a completely negative person but I am very hard on myself. I think through this whole process I learned to just love myself even more and to accept things the way they are and the way they are supposed to happen. Now, I am doing a lot better and people have noticed the changes too! Life is slowly turning around for me and my clothes are fitting better and I am just happier overall. I know life is not perfect but I think I am learning how to strike the appropriate balance in my life. Plus, having a trainer who works you really hard helps! Did I mention how hard he works me?! I heart Paolo!
What I have learned the most, especially having to deal with a lot of ups and downs in the past year, is to be appreciative even of the smallest things. I was really appreciative when a staff member took the time to show me how to set up my bike for my first spinning class here at the gym. What he didn't know was that it was not my first time spinning! The thought was there and I was quite content with what he did for me... it made my day! I think these little things help and even if it does not mean anything to the person doing the favour... it means so much to the recipient of that favour! So thank you Pino!!!!
Yours in fitness and health always,

You can’t do much today without a good team. At home it takes a good team to raise kids. At work you need a good team to look after your customers and suppliers. At the gym, well, it turns out that if you really want to make something happen, you should have a good team there too.
I have been a part of the Real Club team for a long time. I enjoy the camaraderie, the insight and the atmosphere. I like the members, the location is great, and even busy the facility is always fresh. Pino clearly works hard, along with HIS team, to make the gym a great place.
Paolo and I have trained together for years, injury free and with great results, but when I was posted overseas and upon my return, it was tough to hit the same level I had been at, and I found it was a struggle to get back to my former "fighting weight”.
Shortly after Christmas I went to Paolo and basically said enough was enough. I needed to get things under control and he agreed. For those of you who know Paolo he rarely finds a nice way to say things, preferring the direct, brutally honest approach. In fact I recall he emphasized his opinion of my diet by eating a chocolate covered almond in front of me while forbidding me to eat that, or any other fat laden food.
I had another partner, my life partner Sandra, who was also on my team. So we signed up together. We went through the seemingly endless 2 minute Inbody assessment and when the bad news came out, it was for me, really bad. The machine confirmed what my pants had been telling me for some time. That I had 22.9 lbs of FAT to shave off and short of cutting off my head, I had a lot of work to do.
Sandra’s goal was more modest, but tougher. She had a smaller target 4.4 pounds but need to actually increase her lean body mass (for a full explanation of these and other terms talk to Pino or another qualified assessor. If you are coming to the gym for results having a target helps).
The date was December 29th, 2008. So we went to work, my team and I. Sandra read every label and the ice cream, nuts, bread, butter, peanut butter, cookies, muffins, sour cream glaze, croissants, risotto, trail mix, pate, cheese, wine, carrot cake and crème brulee went out the window, replaced with low fat cottage cheese, fruit, vegetables, and lean protein. My BMR was 2135 kcal and I targeted 1500 kcal and slightly increased my activity level. The objective was to lose one pound a week (3500kcal) through diet and 3 pounds (10,500 kcal) through activity (spinning, elliptical and 3 training sessions a week).
The 3 training sessions were designed by Paolo to target core strength, improve anaerobic capacity and also were a valuable time to check facts and opinions with Paolo.
So, here we are three weeks later and what happened? Well, Sandra lost her 4.4 pounds. I lost 13.4 pounds. Neither one of us lost a single ounce of lean body mass, in fact I added 0.5 pounds! That was the training with Paolo.
We still have a distance to travel but I have to say even we were impressed. It does get a little harder from here but that’s ok because at the end of the day, it is worth it.
Regards, Nick F., January 2009
I would like to wish you and your family a joyful, wonderful and safe new year. Thank you for making 2008 a wonderful year for Keith and I. We have been fortunate to be part of a wonderful fitness club. 2009 will be an exciting year full of many special events. Looking forward to being a part of every event and to support both clubs.
Love, Elsa & Keith, December 2008
I joined your gym not too long ago and so far I have had a great experience. I just wanted to let you know that the staff at Real Club Training makes every person feel comfortable and welcome. The trainers acknowledge everyone that walks into the gym, which really does provide a welcoming atmosphere. Even one of the receptionists there, Isabella, was extremely helpful providing information for me in regards to the spinning class offered and motivated me to attend one of the sessions – because I've heard they are pretty intense (which it was, but good).
Service like this is hard to come by. Coming from the automotive industry I know that it is hard to please people and even harder to have a staff that is well motivated. Usually people email or speak to the manager because of a complaint, however, I figured I would inform you of the great service & staff offered at your gym .
Much appreciated,
Fortunato P., March 2008
I have been a member at Real Club Training for about four years. And the service starts from the moment you walk through the front doors. The wonderful staff at Real Club Training is always positive and welcoming. It is one big family atmosphere. From feeling sluggish, no energy and depressed. I thought to myself, I need to do something to feel better and alive! So that’s when Real Club Training helped me change my life around. I have been training with Paolo for about two years. During that journey my energy and strength has improved dramatically. The endurance I have is incredible. Paolo kept me focused on what is really important. And ultimately it’s yourself. Having a personal trainer keeps you disciplined with appointments. Always words of encouragement and working hard for future goals and dreams. Sweating it out also relieves a lot of stress. The sense of accomplishment when you have completed you workout, puts a smile on your face all day! Also, all the members at Real Club training are all so complimentary of each other. The gym for me is my escape. And we all need that! Thank you Real Club Training for all that you do everyday.

I have not been at the gym for a couple of months due to an injured foot and just retuned this morning. When I walked in this morning one of the staff actually noticed me, that I had been away awhile, welcomed my return, and asked how I was. How refreshing.
I have been a member at your gym for a few years now, and although I have gone with friends to their gyms to have a change and I even had a membership gifted to me to Excel on Steeles, I have come to realize your gym is really quite exceptional.
The ladies facility in the co-ed gym are the cleanest and the nicest of any gym I have ever been at, and that even includes your ladies only club. Your equipment is clean and in good working order and your staff is the best. I work customer service so I really take notice of it, and to have one of your staff comment like that this morning really made me take notice. I am sure my membership will be up for renewal in the spring and it is the little things that will bring me back for a 4th time. Have a great day.

Paolo, firstly, I can’t tall you how much I appreciate meeting with you this morning. Honestly, from the bottom of my heart, you sparked the fire in me that I have lost in the last 6 months. Sometimes we go through experiences in life that lead us to an unhealthy state, not just emotionally but physically too. It doesn’t matter how much knowledge we have, it’s the support around us and the strength that we find within us to achieve excellence. We are luckey though, if we meet people who are able to guide us to a better path. I consider myself very lucky to have you in my corner and that feeling of security and confidence is priceless.

Your handout about Cancer was an interesting and informative read. This is one of the small gestures that will keep Real Club Training above the larger conglomerates in the fitness field. It shows that little extra that you guys do to prove that you are more than just a place for your members to sweat it out. Great job and also thanks to Paolo for keeping his former trainees in check when he’s on the floor.
PS. I like the espresso bar. I’ll take you up on one next time. Ciao and have a wonderful weekend.

Linda, the look on people's faces when they saw me was classic. Blatant shock! I don't think they have ever seen me wear something so fitting. I have been fielding compliments all day.
Thanks so much!

Just wanted to thank you for another great year of fitness programs. The place just gets better and better every year. I know it takes a lot of hard work and commitment, but in the end it really shows. Just keep doing what you’re doing.
Best of luck always,
Eva P.
